A natural technique to smooth away wrinkles
Procedure Summary
If the idea of removing your facial wrinkles appeals to you but the idea of surgery does not, then BioSkinJetting® may be for you. First developed in 1995 in the USA, the BioSkinJetting® method is used to treat wrinkles around the eyes, around the lips, on the forehead as well as facial lines such as from the nose to mouth. BioSkinJetting® is a completely natural process that makes use of the skin’s own natural regeneration capabilities. A non-surgical way to look younger BioSkinJetting® is a quick, non-surgical procedure that doesn’t involve any injections, foreign substances or the need for anaesthetic. So you won’t even have to take time off work!
Depending on the number of wrinkles being treated, the procedure can last anything from 15 minutes to 1 hour. The first treatment will make a noticeable improvement on fine wrinkles, but for longer-lasting benefits, especially where deep wrinkles are concerned, up to five fortnightly sessions may be necessary. As one regular patient put it, “I think of BioSkinJetting® as like going for a manicure – a bit of a treat that leaves me feeling pampered and proud of the way I look.” The BioSkinJetting® process Although BioSkinJetting® is painless, the procedure may cause the area being treated to feel a little tender. But don’t worry, a little anaesthetising cream will be applied to make the skin less sensitive and minimise any discomfort. Following that, the practitioner will use a thin probe to agitate the skin’s surface and separate the wrinkle from the underlying skin. This is said to encourage the production of new collagen fibres, the building blocks of the skin. These fibres develop and grow, providing a cushion beneath the wrinkle, lifting the skin and reducing its appearance. “All I felt was a sort of gentle vibration,” said a first-time BioSkinJetting® patient. “I soon relaxed and began to enjoy the treatment.” Life after wrinkles BioSkinJetting® is completely safe as it only involves your own skin filling the wrinkle itself with its own natural collagen. Not surprisingly, therefore, you will look and feel absolutely fine after the treatment. As the process of filling out the wrinkle relies on new skin cells growing, the effects of BioSkinJetting® are not immediate. The wrinkle will appear as a thin red line after treatment and this may last for several days before it fades. Your skin will soon appear smoother and tighter, with the fine wrinkles totally gone and the deeper wrinkles becoming noticeably less deep. The initial thin red lines can be masked by make-up in the short term. In fact, a special BioSkinJetting Cover Crème® has been developed specifically for this purpose. “I couldn’t believe it,” said one patient, “I had a session during my lunchbreak, and, after applying a bit of make-up, I was back at my desk within an hour!” In the two weeks or so after treatment, you should take additional precautions against sunburn as the areas that have been treated will be more sensitive to UV radiation. And, as with all cosmetic procedures, it is essential to follow the advice of your practitioner after the procedure. This will make the outcome as successful as possible and reduce the risk of complications Your skin, of course, will continue to age after the treatment has been carried out. Consequently, it is natural that the effect of the BioSkinJetting® will not last forever. How your skin ages and how long the effect of the BioSkinJetting® lasts depends largely on hereditary factors, your lifestyle and your skincare. Where it’s done and what it costs BioSkinJetting® is not normally carried out by plastic surgeons, but by professional beauty therapists who have received the appropriate training. The treatment can be booked as a single session or as a package of several sessions. Prices range from around £35 for a basic 15 minute treatment (for a forehead wrinkle, for example) to around £450 for a five 40 minute sessions of treatment (to deal with a number of lines and wrinkles, some deeply ingrained). As one satisfied patient commented, “I spent less on the treatment than I would have on a new outfit – and clothes would never make me look this good.” Useful Websites
